Orlando Terry is a dedicated Assistant Principal of Vance County High School, where he leverages his extensive background in education and administration to foster a thriving academic environment. His career spans various roles that highlight his expertise in educational leadership, technology integration, and career and technical education.


Orlando currently serves as the Assistant Principal at Vance County High School. In this capacity, he oversees the daily operations, supervises faculty and staff, and implements policies that ensure a safe and productive learning environment. Orlando is committed to promoting academic excellence and personal growth among students, working closely with the school community to support these goals.
Prior to his role at Vance County High School, Orlando was the Assistant Principal at Vance County Middle School. There, he focused on student discipline, staff development, and the implementation of educational programs aimed at improving student outcomes. His efforts contributed to a positive school climate and enhanced student engagement.

At STEM Early High School, Orlando served as both a Technology Instructor and a School Administration Intern. As a Technology Instructor, he developed and delivered curricula that integrated technology across various subjects, enhancing students' digital literacy and critical thinking skills. In his role as School Administration Intern, he gained valuable administrative experience, assisting with strategic planning and day-to-day operations.


Orlando's expertise in Career and Technical Education was honed during his time as an Education Consultant II with the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction. Specializing in the Business, Finance, and Information Technology program areas, he provided guidance to schools statewide, helping to develop and implement CTE programs that align with industry standards and prepare students for future careers.


Orlando worked as an IT Specialist for Vance County Schools, where he managed and supported the district’s technology infrastructure, ensuring that students and staff had access to reliable and effective technology resources.

At Vance-Granville Community College, Orlando taught Information Systems, contributing to the development of students' technical skills and preparing them for careers in technology and business. He also served as a Human Resource Development Instructor in the Economic and Workforce Development Division providing training in human resource development focusing on economic and workforce development to  enhance student’s employability and career readiness.


Orlando Terry holds advanced degrees in education and administration, reflecting his commitment to continuous improvement and professional excellence.
