Public Announcement

Vance County High School has been informed by the North Carolina High School Athletic Association that our Varsity Football team must forfeit one game from the regular season due to a procedural oversight that was beyond our staff's knowledge. Despite our commitment to compliance, the unique circumstances made it difficult to identify the issue in time. This finalizes the Vipers regular season with an 8-2 record.

We want to emphasize that both Vance County High and the Viper Football team have always acted in good faith, following all guidelines and regulations. Our students, coaches, and families are understandably disappointed, having shown incredible dedication and sportsmanship throughout the season.

We are proud of the resilience and character our team has displayed, on and off the field. We are committed to learning from this experience and moving forward. Thank you to our fans and community for your ongoing support of Vance County High School.
